USD 505 Chetopa-St. Paul is pleased to announce a new organization, USD505 Flight of Honor, in cooperation with Parsons High School Honor Flight. Our students will help financially support the PHS Honor Flight hub and send military veterans on all-expense-paid trips to Washington DC. In exchange for this support, our students will serve as guardian for veterans and travel with them to support their needs on this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Although Honor Flight is a national organization, each hub is responsible for raising its own funds for each flight. USD505 Flight of Honor will host activities throughout the year to raise funds for this worthy organization.
VETERANS: If you're interested in traveling with us, please click here, complete the application and mail it to the address on the form
What is Honor Flight?
Honor Flight Network presently has 127 hubs in 41 states, eight of which are hosted by Kansas high schools. The goal of the program is to send veterans on all-expense paid trips to Washington, DC to visit their memorials.
How to become a Guardian: Students in grades 10-12 at Chetopa or St. Paul are eligible to make application to serve as a guardian. Students should contact their building principal for more information.
HONOR FLIGHT NETWORK — our way of saying to all our veterans — one more TOUR with HONOR.
