"Read Across America" at St. Paul Elementary
Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins Kicks Off Week Long Activities

ST. PAUL: Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins was in attendance to kick off the week long activities planned at St. Paul Elementary School for Read Across America, the annual celebration centered around Dr. Seuss and schools' efforts at motivating students to read. Kindergarten, first, and second grade students joined Congresswoman Jenkins in the library on Monday, March 1st. It was an honor and a privilege to have the Congresswoman participate in the school's reading program.
Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins, CPA, was elected to the United States House of Representatives on November 4, 2008.
Prior to serving in Congress, Jenkins was elected the 37th State Treasurer of Kansas in 2002 and re-elected in 2006. Before her time as state treasurer, Jenkins served four years in the Kansas State Legislature. Jenkins has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for over 20 years.
